Psychological Impact of CBRNs

Psychological Impact of CBRNs

It is important to remember that the terror impact is related to the psychological perception of the terrorist threat and not necessarily the actual terror threat. Some weapon systems may have much smaller physical impact than commonly believed by civilian populations (e.g., RADDs) and hence have a terror impact that far exceeds the actual threat posed by these weapon systems. In terrorism, perception is everything. Obvious counter-measures are to educate the population about the real threat posed by various weapon systems as well as to help civilians develop a sense of response preparedness.
